Well typically, there's soft-scifi and hard-scifi.

Armored Core is what I'd call hard-scifi because it goes into detail, explaining things but it's also what I'd call a hard-scenario because it's so unforgiving.

Starwars is basically soft-scifi because there's no nod to how real combat works whatsoever (I imagine if George had been in Naam, it would have been much better).

It Is my first armored core game I've played so I'm not really sure if i can comment but I shall.

Firstly, yes the plot is lacking but it was designed to intrest a new form of gamer into the genre with quicker speedier battles and bigger guns basically less plot more action which is fine for me but personally i do enjoy the idea of customizing your core.

There are so many options and it is a more realistic and less sci-fi look on the idea of mechs or cores or whatever you wish to call them.

Hey all, my first post:

What do you all think of Armored Core 4?

I know it's very pretty and the new systems are nice but for myself, the controls drive me mad and I long for plot.

How about yourselves?
